Varietal: Gewürztraminer Vineyards and soil Freiberg, near Merano/ Meran: westfacing slope with soil over bedrock, 500 metres above sea level. Laimburg ruins: south and southeast facing slopes with sandy alluvial and porphyry soils, 300-350 metres above sea level. Seeburg, near Bressanone/Brixen: southwest slope with sandy soil, 550 metres above sea level.
Training Form: Espalier
Vinification: After light pressing and low-temperature fermentation in stainless steel, the young wine is aged on the lees for five months before bottling.
Deion: Light yellow in colour with gold highlights, with a delicate bouquet of exotic fruit, such as lychee, and roses. Forceful, yet well balanced, with a long finish.
Serving Suggestion: Chilled to 12° C, an ideal aperitif that also pairs well with risotto, shellfish and other seafood, or spicy Asian recipes as well as sharp cheeses.
