Bright ruby red color with purple reflections. Refreshing aroma of cherry and marzipan. Spicy, fresh on the palate, with a touch of almond on the palate.

Production area:
The grapes grow at 450 meters above sea level, on steep slopes facing south-east. The natural and layered clay soil and the Mediterranean climate give this wine its unmistakable notes.

Vinification:
The winemaking begins with the careful care of the vine. Important is the right choice of reading time. Subsequently, the wines are fermented in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature. Depending on the variety, the wines mature in large oak barrels or are matured in French oak barrels. This unfolds an unmistakable fine taste, which remains long and clean on the palate. The Haidenhof wines are in style rather fruity and body-accented.

Matching:
The "Vernatsch" Meraner Hügel is traditionally combined with Tyrolean specialties such as cold cuts and bacon (speck), cheeses or dumplings. A whole meal wine.
