Product description

Pinot Nero, also called Pinot Noir, originates Burgundy and has been planted in South Tyrol for more than a century. The grapes for this lovely wine grow in selected vineyards on the slopes in Bolzano.

Grape variety: Pinot Nero/Blauburgunder

Growing area: Warm and well-ventilated sites on Renon and in Oberleitach at 500-750 m a.s.l. (1640-2461 ft)

Harvest: September

Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel, partly fermented in wooden casks.

Wine Profile:
Color: Deep ruby red
Aroma: floral with notes of violets; fruity tones of cherry raspberries and plum; spicy, liquorice
Flavor: Medium-bodied with delicious fruity tones and pleasantly incorporated tannins.

Service temperature: 16-18 °C (61-64 °F)

Food pairing: At its best with seared beef, lamb, pheasant or duck. Delicious with medium-aged cheeses.
