Product description

Grape variety: Lagrein, Merlot, Shiraz

Location: "Kotznloater" in Kurtatsch at 300 m above sea level

Serving temperature: 16 - 18°C

Deion: A powerful, complex wine with fine tannins, somewhere between ruby-red and violet in colour. The nose has slight nuances of violets and forest berries. Full-bodied on the palate with a velvety finish.

Vinification: Maturation in the tank takes eight days, with continuous "punching down" of the marc head. The process is finalised in around five days in a steel tank at a regulated temperature. The wine is then aged in small oak barrels for 12 months.

Recommended with: Ideal with dark meats, game, game birds and hard cheeses

"Maturo, preciso e decisamente strutturato questo Merlot ricorda di prugne nere, more, cioccolato fondente, caramello salato ed amarene dolci perfettamente mature. Corpo pieno, tannini egregiamente maturi ed un finale scorrevole che mostra grinta e sottile tensione, combinazione perfetta per non passare inosservati oggi e maturare nel migliore dei modi domani. Bevi ora o invecchia."
