Product description

Deion:
Bright pink color, delicate aroma, pleasant acid structure, fresh and lively drink.

Name: this wine is a typical South Tyrolean and at the same time expression of a large indigenous autochtoine grape variety in special processing. The red grapes are carefully destemmed and pressed very slowly. This very brief contact during pressing is sufficient to transfer the color contained in the grape skins to the must. This is how the rosé wine is created with a strong salmon color.

Label: The name Rosato reflects the color of the rosé wine and also stands for the delicate touch of a rose, which is thus depicted on the label.

Grape varierty:

Lagrein - South Tyrol DOC.

Production area:
Selected vineyards in the South Tyrolean Unterlandlowlands.
This Müller-Thurgau (cross between Riesling and Silvaner) grows at almost 900 m above sea level in one of the highest vineyards in South Tyrol. Extreme temperature changes up to 15 ° C favor the growth of this vine, which develops very intense floral and fruity aromas at this altitude on sandy gravelly soils with a percentage of clay.
Sandy gravelly soils with clay content.

Vinification:
Hand picking, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, decisive slow pressing, 6 months aging on the fine lees.

Food pairing:
Aperitif, goes well with cold starters, pasta dishes and fried fish.

Serving temperature:
10 - 12°C.

Ageing potential:
3 - 5 years.

Bottle to:
750 ml - 75 cl - 0,75 lt.

Allergens:
wine can contain suphites.

Producer:
Castelfeder Winery
The Castelfeder Estate Winery was founded in Egna more than 50 years ago by Alfons Giovanett, but since that time, hardly anything has remained the same. “The product line has been expanded, production has increased, the processes in the winery have been modernized, and the market has become more international,” says Günther Giovanett, who took over the estate his father Alfons and runs it with his children Ivan and Ines. Today, the Castelfeder Estate Winery encompasses 65 hectares, on which 70 percent is planted with white wine varieties.“The focus is on Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon Blanc,” Giovanett explains. With the red wines, the concentration is on Pinot Noir.
