Markus Molitor is a German winemaker and winery owner in the Mosel region. He was born in 1964 in Bernkastel-Wehlen and grew up in a winemaking family. Even as a young man, he had a keen interest in wine and acquired his first vineyard at the age of only 20.
Today Markus Molitor runs his father's winery, which he has turned into one of Germany's best-known wine estates over the past decades. The Markus Molitor winery owns 55 hectares of vineyards in some of the Moselle's most famous sites, including Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Zeltinger Sonnenuhr and Ürziger Würzgarten.
