Straw yellow color, bouquet of yellow fruits, almond notes, intense aromas, balanced structure, powerful, long finish with light vanilla notes. 

As a typical Chardonnay, this Chardonnay impresses with its intense bouquet and strong structure. A versatile wine with great storage potential.

Production area: 
Vigna Villa Karneid: The terroir wines in this line come selected individual sites on the slopes of Salurn, in the southernmost part of South Tyrol. The growing area is one of the oldest and most traditional growing areas in South Tyrol. 
Alluvial soils, cones of rubble made of rock containing dolomite. 

Vinification: 
Hand picking, gentle pressing, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, aging for 6 months in new tonneau barrels. 

Food pairing: 
Starters, hearty fish dishes, white meat, pork. 

Serving temperature: 
10 - 12°C.

Ageing potential: 
min. 8 years.

The Castelfeder Estate Winery was founded in Egna more than 50 years ago by Alfons Giovanett, but since that time, hardly anything has remained the same. The product line has been expanded, production has increased, the processes in the winery have been modernized, and the market has become more international, says Günther Giovanett, who took over the estate his father Alfons and runs it with his children Ivan and Ines. Today, the Castelfeder Estate Winery encompasses 65 hectares, on which 70 percent is planted with white wine varieties.The focus is on Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon Blanc, Giovanett explains. With the red wines, the concentration is on Pinot Noir.
