Product description

Deion:
Intense ruby red colour, notes of dark berries and violet, smooth tannins, full-bodied structure, well-balanced acidity. 

Grape variety:
Lagrein South Tyrol DOC. Lagrein is one of the indigenous grape varieties of South Tyrol. 

Production area:
The vine prefers warm, sunny places as on the valley floor. It grows best on alluvial gravel soils. The best areas for Lagrein can be found near Bolzano and Egna, where the grapes for the Lagrein Rieder come from. 
Selected vineyards in the Bassa Atesina region with alluvial gravel soils. 

Vinification:
Manual harvest, fermentation in traditional concrete tanks, maceration of 8-12 days, maturation on the yeast for 6 months.
