Product description

Grape variety: Lagrein, a red variety native to South Tyrol

Deion: Succulent, rich, full-bodied and zestful with velvety tannins, an aroma and flavour reminiscent of woodland berry fruits. Lagrein is an eminently delicious wine and a worthy ambassador for South Tyrol's vinous culture.

Vineyard site: Rubatsch at Terlan/Siebeneich and various sites beside the Lake of Kaltern am Kalterersee and in the Manincor vineyard.

Soils: Sandy soils at Siebeneich and a mixture of cly and gravel at Kaltern.

Harvest period: End of September

Winemaking: Fermentation with the skins last for around two weeks, followed by malolactic fermentation and a twelve-month maturation in used barriques and tonneaux.

Serve: Cool, 16 - 18 °C

Best enjoyed: With braised and roasted red meats, a perfect partner for game and cheese.
