Product description

Pinot Bianco is, even if not indigenous, one of the most typical wines of South Tyrol. The first vines of this variety were introduced to South Tyrol during the middle of the 19th century by Johann, Duke of Austria. This elegant wine comes selected vineyards around Bolzano and convinces with fresh, floral aromas and a nice acidity.

Grape variety: Pinot Bianco/Weissburgunder

Growing area: steep slopes around Bolzano with high diurnal temperature variation

Harvest: beginning to mid-September

Vinification: Gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel; maturation in stainless steel to keep the wine utterly fresh and crisp.

Color: Brilliant straw yellow with green hues
Aroma: fruity with Golden Delicious apples, pears, light scent of peaches and pineapple
Flavor: fresh wine with round mouthfeel

Service temperature: 11-13 °C (52-55 °F)

Food pairing: as aperitif, with asparagus- or mussel-based dishes, such as spaghetti allo scoglio, and vegetarian dishes.
