VARIETY: 100% Pinot noir

NAME: Graf von Meran

VINEYARD: Meran, Dorf Tirol, Tscherms 350 - 550 m

AGE OF WINE: 25 - 40 years

VINE CULTIVATION: Guyot (Wire-frame)

YIELD: 60 hl/ha

HARVEST: Beginning of October

AGING: Alcoholic fermentation in controlled temperature and mash agitation for about 10 days. Biological acid degradation and later maturation in used barriques or rather in small oak wood tanks of 44 hl.

VINTNERS COMMENT: Bright ruby red color, fine nose of ripe red berries, blackberry and raspberry, silky and round with soft tannins. Good structure and long finish.
