Product description

VIGNETI: Tutte le uve impiegate per la produzione del Lagrein provengono dalla zona di Villa vicino a Egna dove la viticoltura è praticata ormai da oltre due secoli. Contraddistinta dalla presenza di terreni caldi ma anche dall'alternarsi di nottate fresche, la zona assicura la produzione di viti dall'eccellente equilibrio acido-saccarino.

VINIFICAZIONE: Diraspate con cura, le uve vengono lasciate ammostare a temperatura controllata all'interno di autoclavi di inox. Il vino viene quindi sottoposto a malolattica e ad un primo invecchiamento in piccole botti francesi di rovere (barriques) per poi passare ad una successiva conservazione in grandi botti di rovere. Imbottigliato dopo 14 mesi, il vino viene conservato in bottiglia per un altro anno prima di essere infine destinato al commercio.

NOTE SENSORIALI: Dalle cupe tonalità violacee, questo vino si caratterizza per un bouquet dall'aroma intenso di frutti di bosco. Corposo e robusto al palato, presenta una marcata veste tannica che ne accompagna il lungo retrogusto. Eccellente accompagnamento per i piatti di selvaggina, i formaggi, le minestre più saporite o le pizze cotte nel forno a legna.

The 100% Lagrein grapes ferment in oak barrels while malolactic fermentation and initial aging take place in barriques, after which it continues to age in big wood vats for 14 months. The color is a nice ruby with violet reflections, while the aroma is delicate and distinct with scents of ripe blackberry and prune, violet and juniper, eucalyptus and dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is full and intense, soft and pungent with body, a nice balance and distinct evolving tannins. The finish is long-lasting, spicy and mineral."
